I’ve said this before in previous blogs, but cancer research is an incredibly important part of my life. And that is why I am constantly looking for ways to give to charities, organizations and institutes that are seeking to find a cure for all types of cancer. For any of you that have been affected by the terrible disease, you know just how important it is to find a cure. That being said, it may be hard to find a charity that you want to dedicate your time and funds to. Here are a few of the best and most reputable cancer organizations to donate to.

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center

For anyone familiar with cancer research, it may come as no surprise that the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) is featured on this list. As the world’s oldest and largest private cancer center, MSKCC is an absolutely fantastic cancer research facility that is worthy of your hard-earned money. With the center’s cutting edge technology, leading educational programs and world-renowned patient care, there is no doubt that MSKCC is one of the world’s greatest cancer research centers. Not only do their scientists and researchers study new and innovative ways to treat cancer, they also teach the next generation of researchers with their latest findings and information.

Breast Cancer Research Foundation

As one of the most well-known forms of cancer, breast cancer, like any other form of cancer, is an incredibly dangerous and serious illness. The foundation has made it their mission to rid the world of breast cancer. The foundation plans on achieving this by conducting research through innovative means and state-of-the-art technology. They are one of the world’s highest ranking breast cancer organizations in the country and have funded over 10 million hours of research since 1993. This is another foundation that thrives on donations and is one of the best places to focus your contributions to.

Cancer Research Institute

The Cancer Research Institute is another terrific institute to look at when considering donating. The institute, much like the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, focuses on finding cures for multiple types of cancer. Since its founding, the institute has raised a whopping $336 million dollars for research and funded over 120 clinical trials. The institute focuses mainly on immunotherapy, being one of the pioneers of the method. The Cancer Research Institute believes that immunotherapy has the potential to harness the human immune system and cure the body of cancer.

These three institutes all thrive on charitable donations from everyone. So if you have been personally impacted by cancer, or if you are feeling charitable, please do not hesitate to look into any of these three institutes, or even all three. Also remember that there are several other institutes, charities and organizations that can benefit from charitable contributions.
